This was our second Galan “fun” tournament this year and, as expected, the response to sign up was fast and furious with a waiting list in place very quickly.  Using our normal format of 3 courts for 24 off-peak and peak members, each playing in 5, 10 minute matches, it's all about winning as many games as possible in that time to take the prize! And, while not playing, there's also time to chat to other members participating! 

This tournament differs slightly to some of our others as we ask those playing to bring a dish to contribute to the buffet table for lunch after play - and, once again, what a great variety of dishes we had. We are so lucky to have members with a keen interest in food and cooking it, in our club!

Our winners today, with just 2 games more than the runners up, were Alex for the A team and David for the B team, but we have to say well played to everyone. It looked like you all had a fun morning.

A BIG thank you must go to Elena who spent most of her morning organising the buffet contributions and ensuring everything was ready and on the table for lunch at 12.45! Also, thanks to Paul T for his adept blowing of the whistle, keeping time and generally ensuring everyone was in the right place at the right time.
